Last year I made the decision to take a break from school earlier,before school ending ,and travel to the sea with my grandparents.
My father looked me in the eye, and said, “I just want you to know that I don’t approve of what you’re doing.”
My grandparents wanted to take me with them so I was very happy because of that.
It's easy for feelings to get very hurt when there are conflicts like these.
Sometimes this can feel impossible — like they just don't see your point of view and never will.
I keep in mind that my parents were teens once and they can understand to what I am going through.
I know my parents were right but I said it's only 2 days and my teacher will understand.
Conflict is normal. Conflict with a teenager is not always a bad thing.
They let me in the end but I promise to be a hard working student next year.
Parents just don't understand that we know they weren't perfect in school, either.
