My favourite genre of music is jazz and my favourite albums of music are countless. One that stands out to me right now is Amy Winehouse's Frank album, dropped in 2003.
Even though I.ve heard the album being played plenty of times on my computer, I regret the fact that I will never be able to hear it being performed.
The whole album was written by the one and only Amy Winehouse, and it was recorded with the Island Records.
Amy Winehouse had a tragic life. She was a drug addict and an alcoholic. But you can see something raw and true underneath all that. Her talent. She was a true jazz singer. Even though she was drunk and drugged on stage, the songs that were being sung showed that she was like no one else. You could see that she escaped her hellish life only through music.
She died of a broken heart. She died of being constantly put down by the media.
The Frank album shows a part of her that was still slightly healthy.
