Trecut simplu = PAST TENSE
1)AFIRMATIV : S + VBed (VB iregulat la forma a II-a) 
2)NEGATIV : S + did not/ didn't + VB 
3)INTEROGATIV : Did + S + VB 
Ex:
1) I sang a song ( vb iregulat)
    I climbed a tree ( vb cu terminatia ed)
2) I didn't sing a song ( observi ca atunci cand punem la negativ si interogativ, verbul ramane neschimbat)
3) Did we go to school? 

Trecut continuu = PAST CONTINUOUS 
1) AFIRMATIV : S + was(I)/were(you, they, we) + VBing
2) NEGATIV : S+ was not/wasn't + VBing
                          were not/weren't
3) INTEROGATIV Was/Were + S + VBing
Ex:
1) I was going home.
2) I wasn't going home.
3) Was I going home?
