A walk through the center of Târgu Mureş is a beautiful experience. On the outskirts of the market, houses with an old architecture, painted in various colors, are a vivid witness of the passage of time over the old city. At the same time, their architecture highlights the love of the fairs of the Fairmouths. The most beautiful and most appreciated building of the city is the Palace of Culture. An old cultural edifice, the palace is one of the city's emblems. The special stained glasses, the magnificent mirrors in the Mirror Hall, as well as the well-crafted ornaments inside and outside are just a few elements appreciated by visitors who have crossed the city's doorstep. Other buildings worth visiting, being museums are home to the Museum of History, the Museum of Natural Sciences and the Teleki House. Exceptional old buildings are also the Prefectural Palace, City Hall, Apollo Palace and Arcade House. The last two buildings are located in the Rose Garden, near another important cultural building of Târgu Mureş, the State Theater.
