Childhood is magic. It offers us anything we could ever want, it offers us the ability to fly, to have magic powers, to become creatures from another planet or fairies or whatever and whoever we want. Your life is a game that you think will never end, but unfortunately childhood doesn’t come without growing-up…and when this process ends, adulthood is waiting for you with a very large and opened door…It comes with worries, responsabilities, bills ,a job and engagements. All your magical abilities have been taken and they will never get back, even if you want, they will disappear, earlier or later. That’s life ! A circle based on the verb “to grow” written at two different tenses : present continuous “growing-up” ,childhood, the happiest period in your life, when you skip a lot of funny activities only because you’d like time to pass faster and to become an adult and present perfect simple “grown-up” , the period you’ve been waiting for so long, when your life isn’t pink anymore, when it gets darker and you’d give everything for one more day as a “growing-up”.
That’s how we waste the good things in our lives, thinking of what you’d like to have not on what you have…and when you realise that it will be too late.
