The sound of music woke Sandy.
She started to blink slowly, attempting to adjust her vision to the bright lights around her. What was this mellifluous melody playing... and where was she, exactly? In a split second, she could feel the prickly grass picking at her soft skin, indicating that she was laying somewhere on the ground. When finally being able to open her eyes properly, she was met with the sight of a big field. The blazing sun was warming up her cold cheeks as she finally came to her senses and succeeded in getting up.
There were flowers everywhere, and she seemed to be dressed in a white gown. The atmosphere of this area was quite... strange. It was unusual for her to be met with such peace and quiet, all her life she was only surrounded by the sounds of cars honking, people talking, music playing outside of bars... that's always how the city has been. Speaking of music, though, that same song was still playing in the distance. It was faint, but Sindy could tell there were no lyrics to it, just a calm tune in the far, far distance. But, what if she tried to get closer to it? Following the tune, her feet started walking, the grass tickling her skin through the dress. The closer she was getting, the sound was getting louder, and there was a certain... light beginning to appear. It was getting brighter, brighter, and even brighter, until...

She woke up in her bed with the screams of the city coming through her window, the comfortable blankets and pillows not providing her the same solace that the strange dream did.
