the holiday they serve is Easter. It is celebrated on the sixteenth of April. This holiday is made in Moldova, Romania, and many other countries. People eat meat, chocolate bunnies, red eggs, and brownies. Everyone dyes eggs red and bake cookies, paint the trees white with whitewash. I like this holiday because it is a good time for the family to get together again to spend time together.

In Romania, we celebrate The National Day which takes place on 1st December and it marks the day of Romanian unification with Transylvania.
On this day, people eat traditional food, such as steak, sarmale, soups, different vegetable based dishes, pickles and pie or sweet bread as desserts.
Every year on The National Day there is a military parade held in big cities of the country with the purpose of commemorating the fallen heroes in the First World War for the unification of the nation. Participating to this event is a tradition among the Romanians, when they show their respects to the fallen heroes for all what they have done for us.
I like this celebration very much, because it reminds me of what a beautiful country we have and what amazing heroes gave their lives for our unification and it makes me very proud of the history that stands behind this day and this country.
